Facebook Live Events

Attention small business owners, this one’s for you!

Very soon businesses will be able to charge to attend a virtual Facebook Event, which can create a new revenue stream needed by many during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here’s the details released so far about Facebook’s latest feature:

More Accessible Than Ever

In one of several F8 Facebook Live addresses, Mark Zuckerberg announced a brand new tool that can help bring people together for live events called Messenger Rooms.

Messenger Rooms, modeled after business conference call systems, is a simple way to host virtual events to your followers.

When you schedule a Messenger Room with a Facebook Event, your group call can transform into an online lecture, fitness class, cooking show and so much more!

Best of all, anyone can join your Messenger Room, even if they do not have a Facebook account.

You can even charge an entrance fee to attend.

Facebook has once again brought back the Live With feature, so you can add a co-host into your live stream.

Show Me the Money

Facebook Events are a fun and amazing way to bring people together no matter where they are in the world. They also make great save the dates!

It’s without question, the social distancing required due to COVID-19 brought many major events and social gatherings to a halt. Zuckerberg stated he wanted to develop a way to embrace the concept separate but not apart while helping businesses still continue to make money online.

Just as if you were selling tickets to a conference or concert, Facebook Events will soon offer the ability to charge attendees to join your Messenger Room virtual call or Facebook Live Event.
